My Winter Go-to Breakfast – Oatmeal!

Every year, when autumn starts crawling in, I crave for a breakfast that is warm and fulfilling. And every year I have to search for recipes for Oatmeal – because I never really write the one I like down. Well, this year it is different: here is my go-to oatmeal recipe!

This is the simplest, quickest and most delicious oatmeal recipe I could find and I use it almost every winter breakfast. They warm the inside and keep me satisfied until lunch time!

Ingredients

1 cup oats
2 cups vegetal milk can also be water
1/4 tbsp cinnamon *optional / for the extra flavour
1 tbsp grated coconut *optional / for the extra flavour
1 unit banana *can be swaped by apple or pear.

 

Instructions

1. Add the ingredients to the pan and let it boil.

2. Let it cook for ~10min in a low/medium fire, stirring occasionally

3. Serve and add any toppings! I usually add sesame sweetener and extra shredded coconut!

Toppings

2 tbsp sesame sweetener optional, can be swapped with malt barley or rice syrup
2 tbsp nuts or seeds of choice!
1 unit fruit of choice
