I completed part 1! This is quite a random post, I know. You can read more about the project here: Crochet Project: No Shades of Grey MAL
The real update here is that I finished part 1 (of 6, I think). This part consisted of 24 squares in 6 different colorways! If you do crochet, you might think this was easy (some folks really enjoy squares), boring (some people really hate squares) or just a challenge. I fall in the latter category, here’s why:
- I had never done these many squares
- The pattern was the same, which allowed me to memorize it easily and do it while listening podcasts or tv
- The color changes made it not boring
- I really enjoyed putting colors together that i never thought would match
I still don’t know what these squares will be used for or whether I’ll like the final result, but finishing this part on time is definitely an indicator that I am enjoying the process, which is what crochet is all about!
