Let’s talk a bit about tools – and yes, I mean actual tools!!
I started a new course on sewing and something stuck with me and keeps popping up on my head: its essential to invest in quality tools (scissors, etc…) rather than purchase cheap things and trade them often.
There’s a lot to be said about working woth apropriate gools vs cheap ones:
- Work gets done faster
- Work is only as frutrating as it should be
- Tools.pay for themselves
- Each tool has its purpose
- Take care of your tools
Now – dont get me wrong : i still buy cheap things here and there but most often than not i orefer to invest. Some examples of tools I invested and I love:
- Kitchen knives
- Crochet hooks
- Garden hori hori
- Garden pruners, scissors, etc..
- Computer
- Home office
- Etc..
The thing is: cheap tools can become expensive pretty fast (for instance if u mess up.your wrists for using a cheap mouse, or you rbsck.due to a poor chair) . Plus , one of the worst things that can happen in a project is not being able to focus because of how you don trust the tools you’re using.
All in all you’re buying some brain power as well and being more efficient.
What about you?? Which tools do you usually invest in and which ones you do not??
