I am not a cook nor do I see myself doing that for a living. But I do enjoy having people over, especially if I have time to plan and prepare things in advance.
Since we live in the countryside and have our own garden , its pretty fun planning a big meal in advance with things in season and we can get or harvest.
For instance, for today at lunch we’re making some grilled meat + veggie option for me. Aditionally I am planning:
- The Polenta chips I shared last week with fresh rosemary
- Migas, which is a side dish typical from this region, with cabbage from our garden, beans, etc..
- Salad with vegetables we have at hand / garden
- Banana and chocolate cake with, if I have the courage , coconut sugar icing + edible flowers
- Salad dressing
